About

Mission

UrbanLinks is a research group dedicated to the exploration of how connections between urban systems can be leveraged to holistically improve city resilience and sustainability.

Headquarters

UrbanLinks is based in Montreal, Québec, Canada. The group is led by Dr. Rebecca Dziedzic, Assistant Professor of the University of Concordia Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.

Lens

Because urban water systems are intertwined with the safety and health of city dwellers, many of the themes explored by UrbanLinks are related to water systems. Current research topics include predicting water infrastructure failure, energy efficiency of water systems, resilience of interdependent urban systems, and life cycle asset management.
